I have found that food is a universal unifier, regardless if one is a stranger or a friend. My travels have taken me into strangers’ kitchens for community and conversation. Some of my favorite memories involve fresh hunks of ripped bread and cheese from the local market, a glass of red wine, and laughter over hours of trying to piece together different words from different languages.

Every culture throughout the world gathers their loved ones around a table to celebrate their own unique traditions. As a Greek-American, I have a particular love and affinity for the Mediterranean and the joy which exists there. The wine, the meze platters, the late summer nights eating and dancing and drinking on island ports while ferries churn dark waves as they dock: pure magic.

Meraki is a word found in the Greek language that describes doing something with soul and creativity, often described as a “labor of love.”

Born from a passion for people, travel, and good food, The Meraki Table marries quality ingredients with beautiful aesthetics to serve those we love. We hope you’ll come to us as new clients but remain with us as close friends.
